From whitewater rafting on an Olympic course to indoor skydiving in one of the largest vertical wind tunnels in the world, discover fun adventures in Western Sydney. There are mountain biking trails such as Wylde MTB and bushwalking tracks in World Heritage-listed Thirlmere Lakes National Park.

On the banks of the beautiful Nepean River, Penrith is also home to indoor skydiving at iFly – kids as young as three can master gravity - and , where you battle rapids in a raft or kayak as if you’re on a wild river. Other thrilling water activities include cable wakeboarding.
There are skate parks and rollerskating rinks. You can play paintball and laser tag. Go-karting is popular too at various fast tracks. Bring your bicycle and explore Western Sydney Parklands and Bicentennial Park at Sydney Olympic Park, where archery is taught at the Archery Centre.
As well as trees with lineage to the age of dinosaurs, more than 2,000 species of native plants and a seedbank, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan has more than 20km of mountain bike trails. The nation’s biggest botanic garden, near Campbelltown, also offers a range of intriguing tours.
At the Appin entrance to the magnificent Dharawal National Park is the exhilarating 10B cycling trail. This 15km one-way route on an unsealed road winds through forest along a sandstone ridge. Or join an Aboriginal-guided walking tour of Dharawal and learn about the park’s indigenous heritage.
The Nepean River is great for fishing and kayaking, with Bents Basin State Conservation Area a popular spot with a campground. Kayaks and canoes are available for hire from Horizon Line. You can saddle up for a horseriding adventure too. Sugarloaf Horse Centre offers guided trail rides.
